education overview
This education is designed to support and empower volunteers interested in working in palliative care. Through group activities, discussions, and resource materials, participants will deepen their understanding of palliative care principles and develop essential skills to effectively support patients with a life-limiting illness, their families and carers.

This education emphasises effective communication with patients and families, whilst maintaining respectful boundaries in providing compassionate support. Palliative care volunteers will also learn self-care strategies to manage their own emotional and physical well-being as they navigate the challenges of supporting individuals facing loss, grief and bereavement.
