Are you a Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional, currently working in Palliative Care or wishing to expand your horizons and move into one of the fastest growing specialties? Are you interested in undertaking post graduate study towards a Palliative Care qualification?
If so, Cancer Council WA invites you to apply for one of our Scholarships.
The
Helen Walker Excellence in Leadership Scholarship aims to support
nursing and allied health clinicians working in palliative and end of
life care, who are seeking to develop their strategic leadership and
management skills.
Funding will be provided to successful applicants to support them to
complete leadership and management training, as well as further
education, including attendance at relevant conference(s). There will
also be the opportunity to receive coaching and mentoring from experts
in the field. The specific details of support will be agreed between
PaSCE and the applicant, which will be tailored to the applicant’s
professional development needs.
Recipients of the Helen Walker Excellence in Leadership Scholarship
will be part of an ongoing alumni group that provides peer support and
networking for its members.
The Palliative Care Quality Improvement (PCQI) Scholarship is available for specialist palliative care providers to implement and evaluate a current or proposed quality improvement initiative in the workplace.
Funding covers travel and accommodation costs within Australia for recipients to collaborate with other palliative care providers that have a similar program, process or project that is already embedded in the workplace.
