EDUCATION overview
Standard: PEPA / IPEPA placements are an immersive 2-4 day experience where health professionals are supported by a PEPA mentor in a specialist palliative care setting to develop skills, knowledge and confidence in caring for people affected by life-limiting illness in day-to-day practice.
Reverse: A reverse PEPA placement involves a specialist palliative care provider coming to the participants’ workplace to provide an individualised learning experience for a small group of participants over 2 days. This placement model is available to organisations in rural and remote areas, the community controlled health sector and aged care sector.
